Winner of Tolosa Choral Competition 2019 (Tolosa, Basque Country, Spain)

Batavia Madrigal Singers brings together singers from the area around Jakarta, selected by audition. This ensemble, founded in 1996, explores a versatile repertoire of sacred and secular music, both classical and popular, as well as little-known pieces by living composers and traditional Indonesian folk music. Conducted by Avip Priatna, the choir has reached high artistic standards and has been praised at many renowned international festivals and competitions in Europe, China and Japan.

Jāzeps Vitols Latvian Music Academy Mixed Choir was founded in year 1945 and initially served as a laboratory of vocal art and conducting technique for young conductors. To ensure the best available musical education and artistic practice, it provides an opportunity for students to participate in various masterclasses, given by specialists of diverse fields of music. JVLMA Choir often performs in Latvia and abroad, providing an opportunity for their audiences to enjoy choral music of various epochs, styles and genres. Choir also participates in international festivals and competitions.

Sōla, Choir of the Latvian Academy of Culture

Winner of Florilège Vocal Competition 2019 (Tours, France)
Sōla, choir of the Latvian Academy of Culture, founded in 1998, is one of the most prominent ensembles in Latvia. Displaying great creativity, it explores various repertoires and regularly works with other groups on major collaborative musical projects. Under the direction of Kaspars Adamson since 2004, Sōla has taken part in several international competitions where it received the highest awards. In 2015, its recordings earned Sōla a nomination for the Latvian Music Records Award. Last year, an enthusiastic public greeted the choir’s performance at the Prize Winners’ Festival in Vaison la Romaine.
