The Turin Chamber Choir (Coro da camera di Torino) was founded in 2008 upon the initiative of its conductor Dario Tabbia, with the aim of creating an instrument to promote lesser-known polyphonic repertoire. In 2011 it has won the first prize in the monographic programme category and three special prizes at the National Choral Competition of Quartiano; in 2012 the choir has earned the first prize along with the Feniarco special prize at the National Competition of Arezzo. In 2017 the Turin Chamber Choir has placed among the finalists in the Grand Prix of the prestigious International choral competition Gallus-Maribor, where it has received a special prize. In 2019 the choir has won three first prizes, two special prizes and the “Efrem Casagrande” Grand prize at the National choral competition of Vittorio Veneto.

The Coro de Jóvenes de Madrid (Madrid Youth Choir) is a youth group, made up of some 80 members and directed by Juan Pablo de Juan. In its short trajectory, it has become one of the leading youth choirs in Spain and with the greatest European projection. Since its beginnings in 2014, the Choir has participated in international festivals and competitions, such as the XIX and XX EUROPA CANTAT held in Hungary and Estonia, the 24th Choralies Festival in France and the 11th World Symposium of Choral Music in Barcelona. It has won numerous awards, including Gold Diploma in the category of Mixed Choir in the online version of the World Peace Choral Festival 2021, as well as four prizes in different categories of the 52 Tolosa Choral Contest. In 2022 it won the XXII Gran Premio Nacional de Canto Coral, held in San Vicente de la Barquera (Spain). It also won first prize in the 1st “City of Granada” Choral Competition (Spain), held in February 2023.

TOLOSA, BASQUE COUNTRY, SPAIN

SUHAR is a male voices choir formed in the fall of 2018, bringing together experienced choral singers from all over the Basque Country (Spain), with the aim of working on repertoire for this type of ensemble at the highest level. It is a project led by Esteban Urzelai Eizagirre, who is currently the assistant director of the Spanish National Choir and has an extensive experience in the choral world. The project also includes prominent figures such as the pianist Amaia Zipitria, a professor at the Higher School of Music of the Basque Country, Musikene. It is well known that male choral groups have been one of the most solid formations in the Basque choral legacy. Suhar aims to be the link that combines tradition and modernity. In 2023, at the 17th International Choral Competition Gallus in Maribor (Slovenia), they won the 2nd prize, as well as the Audience Award and the award for the best performance of a work by Iacobus Gallus.

Zero8 is an all-male chorus based in Stockholm, Sweden. Zero8 was founded in 2007 with the ambition to create a men’s choir that can perform music at a high level from any genre and style. Zero8 loves to bring different aspects from various genres and mold that into a unique style and sound. Most of the members in the chorus have a background as students at Stockholm’s music schools and universities. Since 2015 the chorus is led by talented musician Rasmus Krigström who is a director, arranger, composer, singer and international barbershop championship gold medallist in 2012 with Ringmasters quartet. The chorus first participated in the Nordic Barbershop Championships (SNOBS) in 2008 and has won the Nordic gold medal every year they’ve competed. In 2019 Zero8 participated at the International Barbershop Championships and won a 3rd place bronze medal. They have also taken part in European Festival of Youth Choirs Basel in Switzerland, the Moscow Easter Festival in Russia and the Karuizawa International Choral Festival in Japan 2018.
