In an exciting development for the global choral community, the World Youth and Children Choral Artists’ Association (WYCCAA) and the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing Association (EGP) have formalized a significant collaboration. This partnership will see the celebrated Swedish choir Zero8, winner of the 2024 EGP, participate in the prestigious 2025 World Youth & Children’s Choir Festival in Hong Kong.

The agreement highlights the shared commitment of both organizations to fostering international musical exchange and promoting the artistry of choirs worldwide.

Details of the Agreement

The “World Youth & Children’s Choir Festival – Hong Kong” will invite the winning choir for a tour in july of the following year. The EGP winner will have the opportunity to showcase their talent in concerts and participate in workshops and educational activities alongside choirs from around the globe, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and traditions. In the other hand, one of the six associate competitions of the EGP will have the opportunity to include the World Youth & Children’s Choir Festival’s winner in its competition.

Prof. Shiu Wai Tong expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration embodies our mission to unite voices from different cultures, celebrating the universal language of music.
